A few of the activities we've had this year include planting flowers, an etiquette lunch at the Emporia Country Club, a two day extravaganza at ESU, and fishing at a private pond.

Fishing Fun
First Friends had an EXCELLENT time fishing at John Mallon's pond. Mr. Mallon provided us with fishing poles and tackle boxes that we were able to take home with us! We fished even though it was raining pretty hard, and boy did we have fun. After we were nice and soaked we went into Mr. Mallon's garage where Mrs. Mallon had hot chocolate waiting for us. We played games while lunch was being grilled, and after we ate lunch some of us went back out for some more fishing. Before it was time to leave the staff of BBBS handed out prizes for the most fish caught, the biggest helper, and the child with the best manners. We headed back to the BBBS office and took our prizes, fishing poles, and tackle boxes home.
